The State Data Agency is an institution of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania which participates in the formation of the state policy in the field of official statistics management assigned to the Minister of Finance as well as in the field of state data management, and which implements this policy and coordinates the production of official statistics pursuant to the provisions of Part I of the Official Statistics Programme, and the management of state data – pursuant to the State Data Governance Programme. On 1 January 2023, Statistics Lithuania became the State Data Agency. The data collected by the Agency is the most important source of information for the whole country. Data that are regularly updated and integrated across the data sources of different institutions will become available to public authorities and decision-makers when solving issues important to the State.
